Iced Decaf Matcha Latte & Float Recipe
I tried making a delicious iced drink with decaf matcha!
Today, I’ll show you how to make a generous 500mL Iced Matcha Latte, plus a special “treat” version topped with vanilla ice cream. 🍦💚
The pleasant bitterness of the decaf matcha, the creaminess of the milk, and the sweetness of vanilla all come together to create a flavor that tastes just like it’s from a café. ✨ And it’s incredibly easy to make!
How to Make an Iced Matcha Latte (approx. 500mL)
Ingredients
- Decaf Matcha Powder: 5g
- Water: 50mL
- Milk: Approx. 400mL (or enough to fill your glass)
- Ice: As needed
- Simple Syrup: To taste (optional)
- Vanilla Ice Cream: For topping (optional)
Instructions
- Sift the 5g of decaf matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any clumps.
- Add 50mL of water and whisk vigorously until the matcha is completely dissolved and smooth.
- Fill a large glass or bottle with ice, then pour in the milk.
- Slowly pour the dissolved matcha mixture over the milk. This will create a beautiful two-layer effect. ✨
- If desired, add simple syrup to adjust the sweetness to your liking.
- For an extra special dessert-like treat, top your latte with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
